This month has just been...a rollercoaster, the ups of which were:
- Cap Am, which, I stand by my view, was not a great movie, though I guess it was a good enough one, and yummy Andhra lunch and keeping Doobie around and dancing in the dark to this and this and this and basically being the most stereotypical girl there can be.
- Pigging out at the local McDonald's when I should have been working.
- Auto rides in gorgeous weather, and feeling the breeze on my face.
- JAMUN.
- The calm which comes with routine (in this case, a skincare routine, which is unfortunately the only routine in my life at the moment).
- A functioning skincare routine!
- Fixing my panda eye mask issue! I love the mask, but the bands were too tight and were supposed to go around my ears, which basically ended up being a recipe for headache. I attached a ribbon to both bands, to pull around my head, and now it's perfect.
- The weather FINALLY becoming beautiful again. Hello, pre-monsoon gorgeousness.
- Fresh, clean bedding.
- At some point I will stop saying this, but - laundry. The smell of fabric softener all through my room. Waking up and getting rid of morning grumpiness with the pleasure of folding clothes.
- Subway!!!! Twice!!!!!
- The amazing support of Nyancat, Marshmallow, Cookie and Jackass as I whined my way through an essay.
- The brief but beautiful return of Nyancat.
- The Importance of Being Earnest and talented cat-friends, and dinner at my favourite mall with lovely people and a very understanding, very wise, very lovely jackass. Waffles with the works (i.e nutella and ice cream and chocolate sauce and other pieces of heaven I don't even remember). <3
- Free fancy food and tonic for the soul, and the most relaxed I've been with friends for a long while. Thanks, Nyancat and Kingsley.
- Shopping. I know I'd vowed not to shop for another year, but that skirt was gorgeous, I own nothing else like it, I have clothes and shoes and accessories to go with it, and, most importantly, even my mother told me to buy it, and I couldn't say no to my mother, could I? (She hated the heels, but I'd already bought them by then, so...oops.) Also, it ties in with my present philosophy of things I love when I see them, instead of setting aside a specific day or time for shopping and then buying things I don't completely love just because I need to birthday shop.
- Those fries at Chilis. Also, the nachos. Also, the barbecue sauce. Also, the namkeen-y rice bowl.
- Living the cliche. Street food, and being adorable, and trying to fit the largest gol gappa on the planet into my mouth in one go. Balloons and bubble-makers. Ice-gola! Love.
- Lying under the stars on the basketball court, just talking and listening and breathing.
- Cookie.
Love,
~Sam
