Two people who won't greet; two souls who won't speak.
So close and so far; two stories which won't meet.
So many that we pass, never once to grasp hands or touch eyes.
Never once to share laughs, shed tears, breathe sighs-
In another world, that was a best friend walking by.
~Sam
Ladies! It's been a loooong while since I wrote a comment- or read - anything on your blog. But may I say what a joy it is to get back to it after ages and have so much to read? A rare true pleasure!
ReplyDeleteTo get back to what I wanted to say (I'm sure you've read his works), your writing reminds me of Silverstein. This poem especially evoked memories of http://picsofwisdom.com/she-had-blue-skin-and-so-did-he-shel-silverstein/
Keep writing. Sure, there are a million other amazing writers out there, but after a couple of years, there'll be some other young girl sitting at her holographic computer screen, wishing she could write the way you do. So basically - Yay You!
Thank you so much! Those are some really incredible compliments. I very literally cannot stop smiling! So thank you, once again, for the sweet words (and for having such awesome taste :D ). You're awesome!
